Number of Participant Requirements
- Minimum number of participants required to conduct competition: 90 participants
- A minimum of 3Â crews will be required to make a category viable and a maximum of 24 crews per category
You and your crew will be paddling the beautiful waters of Lake Burley Griffin, taking off from Weston Park in Yarralumla.
Nestled in Canberra’s picturesque western suburbs, you can look forward to:

Additional Information
- Sweeps (steerers, helmsmen) will need to be L3 accredited
- Drummers do not need to meet age category eligibility
- BCS crews must be breast cancer survivors except drummers and sweeps.
- The ACP category is open to teams consisting of athletes of all genders who are survivors of any type of cancer
- A minimum of 3 crews will be required to make a category viable and a maximum of 24 crews per category
- Racing will comprise of 200m for all categories over the first two days, with the 1km turns race on the third day. There will be no practice days/times.

Age Dispensation
- Age Divisions follow the AusDBF Rules of Competition and Racing CR 2.2 – Racing Age Divisions.
- For a twenties crew, where a team has 18 or less paddlers in a particular age division, they can include on their crew list up to two younger crew members (paddlers, sweep and/or drummer) with a dispensation.
- For a tens crew, where a team has 9Â or less paddlers in a particular age division, they can include on their crew list up to one younger crew member (paddler, sweep and/or drummer) with a dispensation.
- Dispensations will be approved on a case-by-case basis. All dispensation applications must be emailed to admin@dbact.com.au prior to registration and must include a brief outline of the circumstances and player
- After approval has come through from committee you need to register the player and select *please place me into a team. Then email enter admin@dbact.com.au and amg.admin@unisport.com.au email to let them know.
PFD Requirements
- PFDS are mandatory for sweeps and drummers.
- A limited supply of PFDs and paddles will be available for use if required
Bulletin Notice
Rules
- The competition will be conducted under the AusDBF Competition Regulations and Rules of Racing available here.
- Rules for the 1km turn race
- The 1000m turns race will be run over a 500m course and will be two turns.
- The placings from each category in same age division from the 200m racing will be used to work out the starting order.
- The standard 2000m rules will apply (refer to R10 in AusDBF Rules of Racing).
- Placings and Medals will be awarded on finishing times for each category, Open, Women, Mixed.
- Depending upon the number of entries some age divisions may need to be combined to ensure maximum number of entries on the water.
