Age Requirements
Age determined at 31 December 2025
Minimum age 30 years (Women), 35 years (Men)
Age Groups and Divisions
11 Aside – 2x Divisions Men: 35+, 40+, 45+ 50+,55+ (Social and Competitive)
1x Division 60+, 65+, 60+
11 Aside – Women: 2x Divisons 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+ (Social and Competitive)
1x Division 50+, 55+
Minimum Squad Size Requirements
Minimum: 13
Maximum: 20
Number of Participant Requirements
Minimum number of teams required to conduct competition: 4 teams
Additional Information
- All efforts will be made to not have Football and Walking Football times clashing.
- Teams must bring at least one non-playing official with them
- Sport fee includes referee cost for participants
- Individual Entries will be accommodated if possible
Age Exemptions
- All players have the ability to play down in age. For example, A 46 year old can play in 40+ or 45+ categories.
Out field Players
- A maximum of two Players who are within two years of reaching an older age category may be eligible to compete in that category, provided they receive an Age Exemption.
- Age Exemption requests are considered on a case-by-case basis. All applications for Age Exemption must be submitted via email to amg2025@capitalfootball.com.au prior to the competition, and should include a brief summary of the circumstances, along with the player’s date of birth and playing history.
- Once approved by the Football Convenor, you need to register the player and select *please place me into a team. Then email amg2025@capitalfootball.com.au and amg.admin@unisport.com.au so they player can be added to your team.
Goalkeepers
- Goalkeepers are granted an age exemption and can be 5 years below the minimum age requirement, except in the youngest male and female categories where they must be the minimum age to qualify (30+ female, 35+ male).
- Goalkeepers cannot during any match participate as an outfield player if under age.

Rules
The football competition will be conducted under FIFA Laws of the Games, with minor rule changes as specified.
