At the Australian Masters Games, the fun doesn’t stop when the competition ends! We have a packed entertainment schedule featuring Marquee Events including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and Mid-Week Function, and other special events. See below the schedule of events for you to enjoy.

MARQUEE EVENT: Closing Ceremony

When: Saturday, 25 October, 2025
Where: Australian National Botanic Gardens, Clunies Ross St, Acton ACT 2601

Celebrate the end of an incredible week at the official Games Closing Ceremony! This event is a time to relax, reflect, and farewell new friends and teammates. Join us for an evening of entertainment, celebration, and a fitting close to the 20th Australian Masters Games.

Free courtesy buses will run from a dedicated platform at the Civic Bus Terminal and run a non-stop loop to the National Botanic Gardens to drop off and collect attendees. Just show you AMG Accreditation Pass to the volunteers on entry to the bus. Services start from 5:45pm at Civic with the last service to leave the National Botanic Gardens at 10:30pm.

MARQUEE EVENT: Opening Ceremony

When: Saturday 18 October, 2025 – 6pm to 10pm
Where: National Museum of Australia, Lawson Cres, Acton ACT 2601

Get ready to kick off a week of celebration and competition at the official Games Opening Ceremony! This exciting event will welcome athletes, supporters, and volunteers to the 20th Australian Masters Games with a night of entertainment, community spirit, and festivities. It’s your chance to soak up the atmosphere, meet fellow participants, and be part of the start of an unforgettable week in Canberra. And don’t miss the chance to the see The Fabulous Caprettos live!!

TICKETS TO THE OPENING CEREMONY ARE SOLD OUT. Attendance at this event is limited due to the capacity of the venue. This event is only available for registered participants, and all attendees must show their AMG Accreditation Pass and Opening Ceremony tickets to gain entry.

AMG Post Match Venue – Capital Brewery

When: Saturday 18th to Saturday 25th October, 2025
Where: Capital Brewing Co, Building 3/1 Dairy Rd, Fyshwick ACT

Capital Brewing is the perfect spot for after play catchups with teams and colleagues. Open every day and offering a wide selection of their famous beers and drinks and onsite Brod Burger van, this Brewery is the coolest spot in Canberra. Open until 9pm, go ahead and book a table for your team and take advantages of the 10% discount on all Capital Brewing beverages and Brodburger meals at the Fyshwick taproom. Just show your accreditation pass to get your discounts. Further deals include venue hire and brewery tours available for all accredited AMG participants.

Masters Monday at Mooseheads

When: Monday, 20 October 2025
Where: Mooseheads Canberra, 105 London Circuit Canberra

If there is one iconic entertainment venue you need to visit, it is Mooseheads!! And Monday night will see Mooseheads open its doors especially for you and your colleagues to dance up a storm!! MARQUEE EVENT: Mid-Week Function

When: Wednesday, 22 October 2025
Where: Various venues across Braddon & Civic.

Take a break from the competition and join your fellow athletes for the Mid-Week Function! Held across multiple venues in the vibrant Braddon precinct, this is your chance to relax, celebrate your achievements so far, and enjoy a great night out in one of Canberra’s most exciting dining and entertainment hubs.

AMG x Kho-Kho Exhibition Match presented by Kho-Kho Australia

When: Thursday, 23 October, 2025 – 5pm onwards

AMG Race Day presented by Canberra Racing

When: Friday, 24 October, 2025
Where: Thoroughbred Park, 1 Randwick Rd, Lyneham ACT

Experience the excitement of the track at the AMG Race Day, proudly presented by Canberra Racing! Held at the beautiful Thoroughbred Park, this event offers athletes and supporters a fantastic day of racing, entertainment, and socialising.
