Medals

The big reveal of the Australian Masters Games medals is always an eagerly anticipated occasion, for those who are chasing them at event time, and those looking forward to admiring someone else’s. Be sure to check back to this page in the coming months as we reveal the 20th edition medals.

Sports Medicine and First Aid

Sports medicine personnel comprising of Sports Trainers and/or First Aid Officers will be available on site at each venue during competition. Designated treatment areas will be clearly signed at each venue.

The safety of all Games participants is paramount and policies and guidelines are in place to protect participants. Further details on the sports medicine program and associated policies will be published here closer to the event.

Insurance

Personal accident/injury insurance coverage is the responsibility of each individual participant. We encourage each participant to investigate their own requirements and needs to ensure they have adequate cover in place should an accident or injury occur during the Games.

Some sports may offer optional personal insurance through their registration process.

Sports Chaplaincy Australia

Sports Chaplaincy Australia (’SCA’) will be providing a small number of chaplains that will be available to offer free care and support throughout the Games. SCA have been providing professional pastoral care support on a volunteer basis to sporting communities all over Australia for over 40 years. They provide chaplains to all levels of sport, from the local to the elite, as well as having had involvement in a number of major sporting events such as the Commonwealth Games, or previous Australian Master’s Games. The chaplains provided for this event are all accredited with SCA and bound by their code of conduct.

SCA Chaplains offer support and a listening ear to all. The chaplains are sensitive to the different cultures, people, age groups and religious affiliations contained in sport. All athletes, officials, administrators and volunteers are welcome to reach out individually to the chaplains by calling 0403 161 902. The chaplains otherwise will be out an about visiting venues around Canberra during the Games, so please keep an eye out and say hi!
