The Destination

Canberra

Canberra is the destination city for the 20th Australian Masters Games.

Discover a city where world-class art meets a thriving food and wine scene. Canberra’s compact and planned design makes it easy for you to explore vibrant neighbourhoods, open spaces, and the home of Australia’s story, which is housed in our national attractions.

To complement your culture fix, eat and drink your way through Canberra’s vibrant neighbourhoods, where breweries, distilleries, roasters, and cafes await. Visit the Dairy Road precinct to explore Australia’s first B-Corp brewery Capital Brewing Co. before exploring independent art galleries, chocolatiers, and an iconic burger joint.

Experience Canberra like a local by enjoying its surrounding parklands and native bushland. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra’s centrepiece, or elevate your adventure by soaring above the city in a hot air balloon. Discover the National Arboretum Canberra’s 94 forests of rare and endangered trees or tackle a hike or bike ride along the Centenary Trail.

For a unique perspective of Majura Pines, head to Treetops Adventure Canberra just a 20-minute drive from Canberra’s city centre. Challenge yourself with over 90 aerial obstacles and 16 ziplines, suspended between 1-15 metres above the ground – starting with beginner-friendly courses. After your exhilarating adventure, reward yourself with a visit to the neighbouring Mount Majura Vineyard cellar door, renowned for its exceptional Tempranillo.
