Age Groups
Open: 35+, 40+, 50+, 60+
Women: 35+
Minimum Squad Size Requirements
Minimum: 10
Maximum: 18 players, 25 in total (including team management and umpire)
Number of Participant Requirements
Minimum number of participants required to conduct competition: 4 teams
Any age group that does not have a minimum of 3 teams in a single category will be combined with another age group.

Additional Information
- Each division will be round robin, with the four teams having the highest points to play the medal matches
- A pool system may come into effect relative to numbers
- Team numbers are limited to a maximum of 18 players, with a maximum of 25 medals to be awarded to each participating group to cover the 18 players, non-playing coaches, umpire, scorer, medical personnel and managers
- Each team must supply their own scorer, scorebook, team sheet book and MUST supply an umpire (Games Entry Fee and Sport Fee applies to all on field members except batboys)
- Each game will be allocated a two hour window to be completed
- Registration with Baseball Australia is preferred for on-field insurance purposes, players not affiliated with their home state/Baseball Australia will not be covered for on-field injury and should seek private health insurance as an alternative.
Age Dispensation
- Two players participating in the Open: 35+, 40+, 50+, 60+ and Women: 35+ competition is permitted to play outside of their age group with a dispensation
- The two players must be within one year of the age qualification for 35+ (open and women’s) 40+, or two years for 50+ and 60+ with a dispensation.
- All players playing under a dispensation are restricted to not pitching or catching.
- Dispensation can be approved on a case-by-case basis for extraordinary circumstances. All dispensation applications must be emailed to the Baseball Organising Committee through Molly Brown (BSA Convenor) events@baseballsa.org.au prior to competition and must include a brief outline of the circumstances and player (including date of birth and playing history). The case will be overseen by the Baseball Organising Committee and may be referred to the Baseball SA Permit Committee in extreme circumstances and advised in writing reply email to the applicant.
