Thoroughbred Park is located less than 15 minutes from the center of Canberra. For further information, visit the venue website or contact the event organiser.
The event will be held at Thoroughbred Park. This venue is wheelchair accessible, and the event will be held on the ground floor only.
There is ample parking available on site. Please be aware that the carpark does have grass/gravel or uneven surfaces, and athletes or guests who use mobility aids may need to utilise the accessible parking or pick-up drop-off zones located at the front of the venue.
The venue is also easy to get to via public transport. The venue is located 650m from the EPIC and Racecourse light rail station. To plan your journey via public transport, visit the Transport Canberra website (link: https://www.transport.act.gov.au/)
Thoroughbred Park has accessible bathroom facilities, ample seating including space for wheelchair users and users of mobility aids, and quiet spaces available for athletes or guests who require them
Rules
The competition will be conducted under the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) Technical Rules in force at the time of competition. Please refer to: https://www.powerlifting.sport/rules/codes/info/technical-rules to obtain a copy of the most recent rulebook.
All athletes are to wear IPF approved attire from the IPF Approved List in force at the time of the competition. Please refer to: https://www.powerlifting.sport/rules/codes/info/approved-list to obtain a copy of the most recent approved list.
Both the technical rules and IPF approved list are subject to change. Athletes should refer to the IPF website to confirm there have been no changes to either document that impact on their participation.
